“In the past twelve months, significant improvements have been made in the Empire's transport and communications systems. Additional funds are being expended in the expansion of the nation's telecommunications network, which will bring our neighbours closer to us.” H.I.M
The Haile Selassie I Foundation Ministry of Media and Communication is the organ through which we commonly interact and share information with the world at large. Some of the media utilized includes the internet, a recording studio, and various community outlets. We have a website, facebook account, email and a continuously updated blogspot. At the studio, videos and documentaries are scripted, produced, edited and packaged. This also calls for extensive camera and video work out in the field.
The Communication Ministry also links with other information networks, coordinating with established media houses, radio stations and newspapers. We continue to establish more opportunities for information sharing, including seminars and visits, shows and concerts, lectures and discussions, and maintenance of a library and archives. Our volunteers have gained knowledge from well-established media instructions. We continue to learn and to seek more cooperation to enhance what is there already.
